What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day? I know you're excited to be married and say those vows... otherwise we wouldn't be celebrating a wedding... but what else are you looking forward to? At my wedding, I was excited for two things 1.) Hanging out with my friends from all over the country, and 2.) Seeing Devin and his friend dress up as T-Rexes and leave their mark on the dance floor.

I imagined those moments for weeks, as I imagine you're daydreaming about your wedding. Playing and replaying how you want it to be in your mind. The funny thing is that actually living those moments feels absolutely surreal.

My day was over so fast that I couldn't remember anything except the sheer joy of being there (And if you've ever seen a T-Rex dance, you know the joy I'm talking about). Honestly, it was all a blur of hugs and smiles. I'd even planned two hours for a slow lunch with my girls and it still flew by.

The first time I saw my wedding photos, I understood the importance of what I do for a living. Scratch that - I FELT the importance. Those two anticipated moments that had flown by were suddenly returned to me on my laptop screen. I saw the shock on my face when I heard the Jurassic Park theme and Devin popped out from behind the DJ table. I saw everyone's hands go up and the tears from some of the little girls who were scared by the dinosaurs.

I'd been photographed before, but these wedding photos were completely different. It was like the emotions of the day had pushed my memories into a closet, and the wedding photos put them on a shelf. Absolutely, hands down, the best wedding 'gift' I received.

When I pull up to your wedding location (way early because I'm so scared of being late), I'll be thinking about my wedding. Not because I'm narcissistic, but because it reminds me of why I'm there - of how important photography is when we're overwhelmed with emotion.

The Process - From booking to Delivery

You've set the date and decided to hire me to photograph your wedding day... whooohooo!! If we have your date available, we'll sit down together (in person or video chat) to talk about the details. Here's what the rest of the process will look like:

Contract + Retainer

Let's get together for coffee in person, or over video chat, and talk about your story and what you're looking for in wedding photography. We'll put together the perfect package to fit your needs and budget and I'll create a proposal + contract that you can take away to think about, or sign there.

I've photographed enough weddings to know that clear communication is number one. I count myself officially hired when we all sign the contract detailing the wedding and photography specifics so you know exactly what to expect from me. A 25% retainer is required with the contract and goes toward your final payment.

Engagement Session

If your wedding package includes an engagement or bridal session, we'll collaborate on the location and timing so you have the most fun, loved up, wall-art worthy, photos of yourselves ever!!

I love engagement sessions because we get to know each other before the stress of the wedding day. You'll also have first hand experience with how I work and will be able to relax more at the wedding because you know I'll get all your best angles.

Wedding Day

I come to the wedding day prepared! I know all about what's special to you and who you want in your family photos because we've talked about it in advance. The timeline has been finalized and photo locations have been scouted.

I have back up gear, first aid kits, snacks, extra lighting, a sewing kit, and all sorts of problem solving items in our bags. I'm rested and ready and SO EXCITED to be part of your day.

Gallery + Album Design

As you're leaving for your honeymoon, I get to work on your wedding photos. That week, you'll receive a small "sneak peek" online gallery that highlights the big moments of the day to share (or keep for yourself).

The full curating, editing, and album design process takes 6-8 weeks. I deliver your wedding photos in a beautiful online gallery that you can share with your friends and family and download as many times as you want.

At the same time, I'll deliver your album draft design for you to look over and makes notes on. The album is the highlight of my work - a leather bound heirloom album you will keep for the rest of your life. At this point I'll also go over any prints and parent album orders.

Album + Print Delivery

After you've ok'ed the album design and print orders, I'll send everything off to my album lab. Production and delivery takes 3-4 weeks - that's when I'll deliver your gorgeous album, any other tangible products, and a custom USB drive as image backup.

I'll also send a small gift on your first year anniversary to say thank you for asking us to be part of your wedding day.

Beckie shot our wedding on location in Hawaii. The experience was amazing and she did a great job. We are so happy with her photos. As a bonus, she put together an amazing blog on her site as well as a fun video to remember all the details. I would highly recommend her!
