Jamie and Michael | St. Louis Winter Wedding

It was a short winter’s day in St. Louis when Jamie and Michael tied the knot! I have so much love for Jamie – being there and helping celebrate her marrying this amazing man was better than I could have imagined.

Artificial flowers are a time and budget friendly alternative to a live bouquet on your wedding day (especially in the winter!)

I love all the inside jokes that happen on the wedding day – like this Diet Coke photo. Let the photographer in on what’s happening and you’ll get an awesome photo that’ll make you smirk and think of you’re friend every time you see it!

Jamie is rocking the side pony like it’s 1995 and we’re all back in middle school! I love how young and fresh this updo is!

A wedding day can be so long (and a bit boring) for the little ones. One of my favorite photos to take is the many ways the flower girls and ring bearers pass the time while they wait for the adults to get ready.

Michael and Jamie legitimately have the best/biggest laughs. You can’t help but laugh along with them… which made a short winter day much better!

Ugh, these last moments that the bride spends with her dad are so precious!!

After the ceremony, the guests went down to the church rec area for a dessert and drinks reception. Can I just say… these donut walls will never ever get old!

The minute I saw this elevator I knew I wanted this photo! I described the shot in detail to my awesome second shooter at the beginning of the day – just in case I wasn’t there when they left the building. THANKFULLY I did, because I was outside getting the bubble send off ready when Jamie and Michael rode up the elevator. Stephenie got the exact image I imagined – I think it’s one of my favorites from the whole day!

Wedding hashtag turned cake topper – I love this “Happily Ever Harris” piece.

The reception was held at “The Rose of the Hill” – an authentic Italian restaurant with lots of fun kitsch decor. The place was really spacious and everything ran really smoothly, I’d photograph there again in a heartbeat!

Jamie is known for her love of Disney movies (specifically Beauty and the Beast). You should have heard her squeal when the best man gifted them this beautiful enchanted rose during his speech!

A highlight of the night was a choreographed dance that the bridal party surprised the couple with! It was a mash up of their favorite songs and was hilarious! Such an amazing gift… Jamie couldn’t sit still, she was dancing along by her seat!!

Some of the super awesome decor being an awesome backdrop for these two stunners!!

A bubble exit AND a sparkler exit? YES PLEASE!!!! Alex (a bridesmaid) prepared both the bubbles and the sparklers and she did an amazing job… the most important part of a sparkler exit is making sure you get the long sparklers that last for 5 minutes so no one gets burned while waiting those extra moments while the B&G say last minute goodbyes. It’s also really important to have a bucket of water or sand nearby so people can put out their sparklers or just stop the heat from causing damage to anything. The whole sparkling fire thing looks amazing and is such an awesome way to send a couple off into the world – Congratulations Jame and Michael!
