True love isn’t always shown in grand gestures and speeches. Sometimes, it the small ways we show love every day that matter the most.
After seven years together, Jose and Erika are masters at the everyday love. I can see it in the way he stares at her like there’s no one more beautiful in the world. Her laugh leaves no doubt she’s with the funniest man alive. It’s a hand reached for and a hand stretched out to give support on a steep climb. It’s the way he lets her sip his coffee and steal his food. It’s the thousands of sweet texts and prayers raised and “I love you’s” and all the thoughtful acts that no one else sees. Like individual brushstrokes on a canvas, these small things build and blend together to form a picture of sincere and genuine love. A picture of their love which is as unique and beautiful as they are.
I met Erika and Jose this past weekend when I photographed them in Malibu. They were so happy to just be together and I couldn’t help but feel the same way – happy to just be photographing them! I am so excited to be photographing the wedding of this amazing couple in June, but right now I’d like to take a couple minutes of your time and introduce you to Erika and Jose!
